How can I update my browser settings for Canvas?
In order for CommonLit to work properly with Canvas, we'll need to save information on your browser (i.e. browser local storage).
If you are having issues accessing CommonLit on Canvas, please follow the steps below to allow CommonLit access to your browser local storage:
Chrome Browsers
- Open your Chrome browser.
- Click on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the top right of the page.
3. From the dropdown, select Settings
4. On the left panel, click Privacy and Security.
5. On this page, scroll down to the Privacy and Security section and click Site Settings.
- Under the Permissions section, click Embedded content.
7. Scroll down to the section titled Not allowed to use info they've saved about you and click the trash can icon next to commonlit.org.
When you access CommonLit on Canvas again, you'll be asked to allow CommonLit access to your browser local storage.
Safari Browsers
1. Exit out of CommonLit on Canvas.
2. Refresh your page.
3. Click Allow Access to update your settings on your browser.
4. Click Allow to grant CommonLit access to your browser local storage.
