How do I grade Canvas assignments?

This article is intended only for customers and partners using Canvas. Our Canvas integration is available for schools and districts who purchase a School Essentials PRO package.

To grade Canvas-linked CommonLit assignments from Canvas, you will need to click Go to CommonLit.

On your Grading page, assign scores and leave feedback for your students' responses.

After you have graded a student's assignment, you will need to Release Scores to send them to your Canvas Gradebook. You can quickly release scores from the Assignments page itself:
