How can I modify a scheduled assessment?
Teachers can modify an assessment by updating the scheduled start date, updating the grade level, or generating an assessment for a new student or a student whose grade level changed.
Updating the scheduled start date
If you want to change the date on a scheduled assessment, click My Classes in the menu on the left. Then, locate the assessment on your Assignments page, click Options, and choose Edit Scheduling. Finally, select the Start Date field, choose a new date, and click Save.
Please note: It is not possible to choose a start date in the past. Additionally, the start date will not change for any students who have already started the assessment.
Updating the grade level
Assessments can be scheduled by the grade level(s) of the class, the grade level(s) of any students enrolled in the class, or by individual student grade level. If you assigned all students one grade level, but they need to take the assessment at their grade level, or if you assigned by grade level, but you need to assign all one grade level, you can update the assessment.
To start, locate the assessment on your Assignments page. Then, click Options, and choose Edit Scheduling. Click the drop down under Grade Level, choose the desired option, and click Save. For any students who were previously assigned a different grade level assessment, they will receive a new assessment at the selected grade level, and any assessments that do not match that grade level will be exempted.
Generating an assessment for a new student or a student whose grade level changed
If a student joins a class 30 days after the assessment was scheduled, or if a students' grade level changes and the assessment was scheduled by individual student grade level, you will need to generate an assessment for the student.
To do so, locate the assessment on your Assignments page, click Options, and choose Edit Scheduling. Then, click Generate New Assessment.
