Why isn't my assignment linking to Canvas?

If your assignment isn't linking to Canvas, first check whether you have selected to load the assignment in a new window. To check if you are loading an assignment in a new window, go to your assignment on Canvas and click the Edit Assignment Settings button.

Then, scroll down to Submission Type and check if "Load This Tool In A New Tab" has been selected.

If you have selected this option, you will then need to click the Load [Assignment name] in a new window button to complete the linking process.

If you have not selected this option, please try creating a new Canvas assignment and then link your CommonLit assignment to your newly created Canvas assignment.
