You can view pre-assessment data on the pre-assessment's Performance Data page as soon as at least one student has submitted their pre-assessment.
From your Assignments page, click on your class' name and then find the pre-assessment. Click the teal PERFORMANCE DATA button to view comparative data, your students' raw scores, and their standards averages.
If all of your students have completed their pre-assessment, the pre-assessment will move to the Completed view on your Assignments page. Click on the "Completed" tab under the Assignment Status section on the left to find your class' data there.

We do not offer item analysis for this diagnostic assessment, so neither teachers nor students can see how students answered individual questions. Students will not see their assessment on their My Assignments page after they have submitted.
We do show teachers and students how students answered individual questions for all other CommonLit assignments. However, the pre-assessment is merely intended to help you understand your students' proficiency at the start of the year so that you can then assign CommonLit reading assignments accordingly.
Note: If your district has chosen to purchase CommonLit’s Interim Assessments, you will not have access to the Pre-Assessment feature on CommonLit.org. Instead, you’ll be able to collect baseline data through the first interim assessment that your district administers.
