CommonLit allows teachers to choose to assign all assessment questions (recommended), only multiple choice questions, only short answer questions, or no assessments questions when creating an assignment.
Teachers cannot hand-select which multiple choice questions or which short answer questions students can answer. Teachers can only assign all multiple choice or no multiple choice, and all short answers or no short answers.
Teachers can also customize the annotation task to encourage additional note-taking by students on their assignment.
