If your teacher imported you through Google Classroom, you should log in by clicking the "Log in with Google" button on the CommonLit login page.
The first time you log in, you may first see the "Your Account Needs Updating" page and you will be prompted to select your grade level.
If you are not prompted to select your grade level (or after you have selected your grade level), you will see the "Your Teacher Wants You to Connect to Google Classroom" page. You must click the "Connect To My Google Classroom Account" button in order to complete an assignment linked to Google Classroom.
If you miss this page, don't worry - you can connect to Google Classroom from your My Account and Classes page as well. CommonLit will also prompt you to connect when you go to begin an assignment if you still haven't successfully connected yet.
You can also log in manually using your CommonLit username and password: If you have issues logging in with Google, you can use your CommonLit username and password to log in. Not sure what your username or password is? Ask your teacher to check their Manage Students page to view your username and/or help you reset your CommonLit password.
