Students can sign in using 4 different methods:
Log In With CommonLit
1. Students enter their CommonLit username and CommonLit password that they recorded upon sign-up.
If students forget their username or password, the teacher can look up their username or reset their password from the Manage Classes > Options > Manage Students page.
2. Students who signed up with an optional email can also sign in with CommonLit using their email and CommonLit password.
Log in with Google
3. Students who were imported with Google Classroom, or who signed up with an email that is linked to Google, can click Log in with Google. They should use their Google login information.
Log in with Clever
4. Students who were imported with or linked to Clever can click Log in with Clever or click the CommonLit logo in their Clever dashboard. They should use their Clever login information.
If students use the same email for Clever and Google Classroom and were imported with Clever, they can click Log in with Google OR Log in with Clever.
All students are required to have backup CommonLit passwords. The first time students log in with Clever or Google, they must set backup CommonLit passwords for account recovery purposes. Teachers can always reset their password from their Manage Students page.
