Yes, you can link your Clever classes with your Google Classroom classes. To do so, you must first import your classes from Google Classroom. When all of your students are finished importing from Google, you can log in to CommonLit from Clever (if your district has linked with us). You must choose to match your Clever sections and existing CommonLit classes.
You will then be able to match your students in your CommonLit sections to your Google Classroom classes. We will then temporarily log you out while we import your students from Clever and merge them with your existing students. If any students are not in Clever, they will be removed from your class. If any students are in Clever but not in Google Classroom, they will be added to your class.
If your Google Classroom classes are split into multiple sections on Clever, you will not be able to match multiple Clever sections to your one Google Classroom class.
Currently, it is not possible to import Clever sections first and merge them with Google Classroom classes later.
The benefit of linking to Google Classroom and Clever is the ability to auto-post assignments to Google Classroom and share scores with your Google Classroom gradebook, while still relying on Clever's data integrity and single sign on options.
