CommonLit 360 units are written with Essential Questions in mind to drive students to explore topics and ideas connected to the world around them. The content-rich curriculum is anchored by engaging compelling and complex grade-level texts.
Each lesson gives students a chance to build and deepen knowledge through interconnected skills. CommonLit 360 units are rich in writing and discussion. Each interactive writing assignment, for example, is connected to prior reading within a unit. You can find our Curriculum Framework here.
CommonLit 360 Reading Lessons are available in both print and digital formats. Students are able to complete these lessons completely on CommonLit. Students will read, annotate, and discuss a text prior to completing multiple choice and short response questions.
There are formative and summative assessments built into each unit. CommonLit 360 has formative assessment questions through each lesson (available in PDF form or digitally). Each unit ends with a summative assessment (note: CommonLit also provides a Free Reading Assessment for the beginning of the year or the Assessment Series).
