My student has forgotten their password. What should I do?

If your student has forgotten their password, you can reset it for them to the class code.

Go to your “Manage Classes” page. Click on the “Manage Students” option for the class in which the student is registered. This page will help you manage students' accounts.

Scroll down to the row that contains the student’s name and username. Click the “Reset” button in the student’s row. This will reset the student’s password to the class code.

A small screen should appear after you click the “Reset” button to confirm that you want to reset their password and to remind you of the corresponding class code.

The next time the student logs in to their CommonLit account, they should use the class code as their password. Once they have logged in, they will be prompted to change their class code password to a new one.
