How do I grade a Target Lesson?

To grade a Target Lesson, click the name of the assignment on your My Classes and Assignments page. Then, select the Grading tab along the top of the Assignment Dashboard.

This will direct you to students’ written responses from the assessment. Multiple choice questions on the assessment are automatically graded by CommonLit. The writing questions in the assessment are teacher-graded. These two question types are the only questions that count towards a student’s total score.

The in-text questions that students complete as they read are not included in a student’s overall score, but we encourage teachers to review the answers to get insight into student thinking.
