The multiple choice questions in the lesson’s assessment are automatically graded. The writing questions in the assessment are teacher-graded. These two question types are the only questions that count towards a student’s total score.

The in-text questions that students complete as they read are not included in a student’s overall score, but we encourage teachers to review the answers to get insight into student thinking.
