How are Target Lessons different from a regular CommonLit Digital Lesson or CommonLit 360 Lessons?
Target Lessons are designed for the targeted practice of a particular standards-aligned skill, such as point-of-view or main idea. In a regular CommonLit Digital Lesson, the in-text and assessment questions accompanying the text will represent multiple standards for spiral review. Target Lessons also contain a warm-up and introductory video.
In a CommonLit 360 Lesson, the skill-aligned lesson will also align with the larger CommonLit 360 Unit’s essential question and skills progression. While CommonLit 360 lessons are part of a larger unit that spans several weeks of instruction, a Target Lesson contains an individual text that can be completed in one to two class periods.
