When should I assign the Unit Skills Assessments in a 360 unit?

Teachers should follow the suggested placement for each Unit Skills Assessments associated with a 360 unit as indicated on the Lessons & Materials page for the unit. The Unit Skills Assessments have been placed to best reflect skill coverage and text complexity at specific points in each 360 unit.

Switching the order of the assessments will compromise the intentional alignment to skills, genres, and background knowledge. To maximize the utility of Unit Skills Assessments, CommonLit advises administering the USAs in the order they are presented within the unit.
