How do I delete a class?

You must archive a class before you can delete it.

Please note: CommonLit strongly encourages you to archive old classes instead of deleting them. Archived classes retain data you can reference later, and they also help CommonLit improve site content and tests from year to year.

If you still want to delete the class, follow the steps below.

To delete a class:

1. Go to your Manage Classes page.
2. Click the Options dropdown for the class you wish to delete.
3. Click the Archive Class option.
4. Click the Archived Classes link to go to your Archived Classes page.
5. Click the trashcan icon for the class you wish to delete.
6. Confirm that you want to delete the class.
