Yesterday my class started reading a text. Today I wish to continue and begin "read aloud" from the middle of the story. Is there any way to do restart "read aloud" from the middle?

Yes! CommonLit automatically saves where teachers and students leave off using Read Aloud. If you reopen a text you were hearing read aloud previously and click the play button for Read Aloud, it will pick up where you left off.

Students can start Read Aloud from anywhere in the text. Have them use their mouse to select the speaker icon next to the paragraph or line they want to hear read aloud to begin reading from there.

Students can click the speaker icon next to any guiding question or assessment question to hear it read aloud. Clicking play after hearing the question fully read will return read aloud to where students left off in the text.
