What should I do if I forgot my email, username, or password?

For Educators

If you are an educator and have forgotten your password, please go to the CommonLit Login page and click on the Forgot Your Password? link at the bottom of the page. You will then be asked to enter your registered email address. Once you have entered your username or email, check your inbox for directions on how to reset your CommonLit password.

If you have forgotten your email — or if you have not yet received password reset directions — please contact help@commonlit.org for assistance.

For Students 

If you have an email on your account, you can try clicking Log in with Google and enter your Google login credentials. If you do not have an email on your account and cannot use Log in with Google or Log in with Clever, then you can ask your teacher to look up your username and reset your password from their Manage Students page for your class.
