If I import with Google Classroom, how do my students log in to their accounts?

If you create a class by importing from Google Classroom, CommonLit automatically creates your students' accounts. Or, if a student has an existing account with a matching email, CommonLit will add that student's existing account to your class. You do not need to manually invite students to join your class.

Students should log in using Google Single Sign On by clicking the Log in with Google option on the CommonLit login page:

The first time they log in, they may be prompted to select a grade level if your class has multiple grade levels. Students will then be asked to connect their CommonLit account to Google Classroom.  

Once students have logged in and connected their accounts to Google Classroom, they will be able to access CommonLit assignments posted to Google Classroom.
