Does CommonLit offer a student preview for teachers?
Teachers can view a preview of a student assignment using Student Preview Mode while viewing any text in the Library or unit page. Student Preview Mode allows a look into upcoming assignments, including Annotations, Guided Reading Mode, and Assessment Questions.
When searching in the Text Library, click Student Preview to preview the text as an assignment.

For 360 Reading Lessons, Writing Lessons, and Vocabulary Quizzes, navigate to the unit's Lessons and Materials and click on the lesson you wish to view. This will take you to the Student Preview, where you can preview the lesson.
For 360 lessons that can only be assigned on-paper (Vocabulary Activity Sets, Grammar Quizzes, Related Media Explorations, etc.), you will be taken to the Lesson Materials, where you can click on the different documents on the left-hand side (Teacher Copy, Student Copy, etc.) to preview the materials for that lesson before making a copy.

Additionally, CommonLit provides an assignment preview that lets you see the student experience on the exact assignment you created, with all of your customization and edits. To access this preview:
- Find your assignment on the Assignments page.
- Click the vertical ellipsis.
- Click Preview.
You can also reach the Preview option from the Assignment Dashboard.
