What is a reading modality?
When assigning CommonLit 360 Reading Lessons, you will see an option to Enable Reading Modalities. Reading Modalities include in-text prompts to read parts of a lesson as a whole class, with a partner, or independently. Thus, these modalities represent the different ways students can learn the content within a lesson.
CommonLit recommends enabling them for in-class instruction and disabling them for at-home or fully independent learning.
When assigning a Reading Lesson, you can enable or disable Reading Modalities using the toggle in the Create an assignment view.
