How do I add a new student to my ClassLink synced classes?

This article is intended only for partner districts using ClassLink. ClassLink is available to schools and districts who purchase CommonLit School Essentials or CommonLit School Essentials PRO. CommonLit rosters for classes imported from ClassLink are controlled by the integration. As a result, students are added to these classes by ClassLink, and teachers cannot manually add or remove students from these classes.

CommonLit will match your roster data exactly as it is shared with us on ClassLink and will automatically sync your ClassLink rosters to import new students for you. This sync occurs nightly at approximately 10pm EST.

Please note: If a student is missing from both your ClassLink and CommonLit rosters, please reach out to your ClassLink administrator to add them to the roster in ClassLink first.
